We’ve invented a truly innovative water separator
In 2002 Gary Smith invented the Flowmax dewatering unit in New Zealand. After extensive bench-top testing he developed a prototype water separator unit and carried out many field trials, culminating in the submission of provisional patent applications. The intellectual property and worldwide marketing rights are held by AquaClear Technology Ltd.
Flowmax was commercially launched in 2009 after an extensive development and field testing programme. This is an innovative new design of vacuum belt filter with a number of unique design aspects covered by provisional patents.
Key differences of Flowmax over standard vacuum belt filters include a large belt surface area under vacuum and a low-wear interaction between the filter belt and the transport system, with no permanent coupling required to each other and no need to actively ‘drive’ the filter belt.
Flowmax incorporates a number of powerful capabilities enabling it to be used across a range of industries as an effective water separator for process and waste streams. We are excited about the potential production and financial benefits that Flowmax can bring to industry and look forward to exploring your applications with you.
